Meeting of minds

Previous comic

The After Y2K QuickPoll was...
What do you think the TTB's should do?
  • Nothing. You can't screw around with the time stream without messing something else up really badly.
  • They should leave time travelling to the First Four.
  • They should go back in time, invest in Abacuses, watch the world crumble, then reap the profits.
  • They should try to save the world, despite the risks.
  • Um, where are they going back to? I'd like to spend New Year's Eve with them.

NitroNews:
I've been getting this question a lot... "Is the comic going to end?" Let me assure you it is not! After Y2K will continue after Y2K! The next two weeks are going to be action packed, what with the Arthur C. Clarke thread, the awarding of the contest prizes, and some very cool "alternative ending" days next week (you will not want to miss those!). I know it's a busy time of year, but if you can, try and catch the comic... it's probably the most exciting time to be here all year!

Be sure to check out the Snaggy Interview, over on Chromatic's NBS!

Migrant Programmer is looking to hear from any University of Waterloo students, or others from Ontario or Canada interested in starting an After-Y2K Fan Club. You can email him, or reply to his post
in the Message Board. Thanks MP, that's cool with me!

It's here... the After Y2K character look-a-like contest! Geek Culture is giving away some great prizes, (including an alien head!), VA Linux Systems has donated some cool swag, Technogecko some of their hilarious Combuttons, ThinkGeek is donating a set of those really cool shot glasses and t-shirts, and BeDope has thrown a cool Be cap into the ring! And wow, Chromatic has donated a copy of his new book 'firewheel' (when it comes out in a couple of months).

If your company is interested in sponsoring After Y2K, I have great rates, and an exceptionally great audience! Email me for details!

After Y2K™ is a frightfully funny look at what might happen if the Millennium Bug bites hard! Created by Nitrozac, it follows the hapless exploits of a perhaps-slightly-over-paranoid geek as he and his friends seek to come to terms with the legacy of careless coding. The setting: the days and months after January 1st, 2000... all computers, high technology, and most electricity is gone... civilization as Geeks know it has collapsed!
