I'm just doing the Joypoll, and thought I'd put this oldie but goodie to the Forums... What's your favorite flavour of ice cream?

Mine would have to be chocolate, although I do very much enjoy Hagen Daas vanilla with almonds. [Big Grin]

Chocolate Almond, but I'm having a hard time finding regular Chocolate Almond around here. Most of the ones I'm finding have chopped almonds that are chocolate covered in it. I want plain almonds in mine not ones with waxy chocolate on them! Butter Pecan is a close second.

Hmm, so hard to choose. Breyers' Vanilla Fudge Twirl, or Ben & Jerry's Magic Brownie, Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. How can I pick? [Eek!] [Big Grin]

Damn you Snaggy, I just got back from taking a drive to Steak 'n Shake for a Chocolate Malt (Strawberry Shake for my wife)! Ok I'll put 1/2 of the blame on the food network for their special on the history of the milkshake that was on last weekend.

Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie.

Though Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is a close second. And that flavor doesn't have to be B&J's; Safeway Select Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough will work just as well, and is usually cheaper.

I've always been a fan of plain ol' vanilla.

Really, it's more exciting than you'd expect.

Snaggy, it is okay to spell it favourite, with a u. Most of the Americans will eventually understand what you mean.

My favourite is Cherries Garcia, by Ben and Jerry

Mint chocolate chip, or plain ol' chocolate.

Or rocky road.

Or vanilla, but preferably with chocolate on it.

Did you see what he did there? He's trying to play both sides at once. Instead of "favorite flavor" or "favourite flavour" he spelled it "favorite flavour".

Or maybe he's just been around us Americans too long. [evil]

Plain old vanilla for me. Sometimes I go wild and throw on some hot fudge and whipped cream, though. And if it's a milkshake it has to be chocolate.

Mine reply should read:

I don't like ice cream, you insensitive clod!

(In fact I don't eat ice cream at all, but once in my youth I liked chocolate and bananaflavour.)

New York-style cheesecake with any type of fruit swirled in...just slightly melted. Close second: plain vanilla topped with both hot fudge and caramel sauces, sprinkled with lots of chopped nuts.

Peebs, you don't have to pick. Special dispensation. [Smile]

Me? Hmm... it's a tie. Either Baskin Robbins Chocolate Chip (for the dark chocolate) or Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia (more dark chocolate). Forced to choose, I'd select the Baskin Robbins Chocolate Chip.
